PhaerErin Kennel came into being in 1981. I started with my first male Irish Wolfhound, Shenanigan of Aran Acres CD, born in May of 1979. In April 1981, I purchased my first my first Pharaoh Hound, who would become Am.Can.Mex.World,International,Champion of the Americas, PHCA CH. Lileo Sunskrit Agapanthus Am.Can.CD, Am.Can.FCh, LCM, CM, CGC, TT. I wanted a kennel name that reflected both breeds and came up with PhaerErin. Two litters of Irish Wolfhounds and 6 litters of Pharaoh Hounds were bred while living in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 1994 Lance became a part of PhaerErin. In 1997 we moved to Sonoma County. In 1999 we obtained our first Norwich Terrier, Gypsy Bears PhaerErin Liberty and in 2008 we purchased our first Portuguese Podengo Pequeno, Porto Novo's PhaerErin Francesca. We are no longer breeding or showing Irish Wolfhounds, Pharaoh Hounds or Norwich Terriers. We are now concentrating our efforts on producing Pequeno's that can successfully compete in conformation, performance and companion events. Our goal is to produce healthy, happy and functional Pequenos with outstanding temperaments that will bring joy to their owners no matter what endevour they pursue.
